Goodbye Auckland, thanks my Kiwi friends

First at all Happy birthday Janice and Dawn! Today both Kiwi Trekkies celebrate their birthday. Congratulations girls :-)

Well tomorrow I have to leave Janice and Dave's place in Murray bay on the North Shore of Auckland. I was gast for more than two weeks in their house with me a ordinary tourist from Hollnad :-) Hereby a deep bow for Janice and Dave's hospitality and patient to share their wonderful house at the beach of Murray Bay. I really enjoyed my stay at your home my dear friends!

Leaving Janice will be hard and so is leaving Auckland, a fine city and a fine Provence were I met several Kiwi Trekkies who showed me the beauty of their city and nature. Thanks dear friends. Sunday I will leave Auckland definitive For now a goodbye with a good rememberance of this awesome view of the city skyline taken on a boot while leaving the Auckland harbour fro Waiheke.

de baai. Netter dan net !

Hello Hans,

I fine, farewell shot!
It is very well composed and the focus is pin sharp.
One of the real plusses on this site is learning about other locations. I now have a real affinity with N.Z. - having never been anywhere near it!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

A good cityscape! Lekker scherp! Meer op 1/3 zou kunnen en wat meer kleur in de gebouwen, maar eigenlijk is het gewoon een goede foto.

Waar ga je nu heen???

Hans, it isn't fair!!! I have been trying to get that shot of the city for years, every time we are over the Shore the light is NEVER like this. So thank you for posting this.
Enjoy the rest of your trip round NZ, it was a pleasure meeting you.

Hi Hansie
Dave and I will miss you and we are very happy to have had you stay with us. We have got to know you really well and will be sorry when you go. The house will be a lot quieter and I will now have my computer just to myself!!

But you have been very busy seeing around our city and our waters, and now you will begin the next stage of your journey around New Zealand.

All the best my friend, and thank you for what you have done for us here, and all the family pictures that you have taken for me of my family - and they too have been very happy to meet you too - the Dutch guy I picked up on the internet!!!!

So until we meet again - Kia ora to you
Janice

Hoi Hans
Ziet er een heel moderne stad uit, nog niet zo oud. Beetje anders dan in europa. Hopelijk was je trip fijn en de moeite. En hopelijk geniet je van de vrieskou volgende week!!! :)
Knap panorama!
David

Hi Hans,
what is interesting to me in this photo is the sky line looks very much like Toronto skyline, except the tower would be on the left side of the photo.

Hans,

Your trip sounds like it was wonderful. This photo is postcard perfect. The lines from the buildings, an the horizontal lines from the water and the clouds make for a harmonious composition. Lovely shades of blue throughout. Enjoy your continued travels. Lisa

Hi Hans..first off... Thanks my friend for your birthday greetings..

I felt a sadness as I read your note..meeting you, and knowing that you would have enjoyed your stay at dear Janice and Daves house...they are surely lovely people...and here you are saying goodbye to Auckland.. sorry I could not have meet you again..but you know I was not in town...

The photo!!!..amazing sharp capture, lovely colours.. you must have a very steady hand..as taken from the boat, such a beautiful city for which we Aucklanders are very proud of.. specially the ones born in the heart of the city..like Janice and I.

All the bery best Hans, was a pleasure to meet you, and I do hope you have a wonderful 3 week tour exploring the rest of New Zealand.

Hugs
Dawn
