Hello Steven,
I like how you presented us a flower without making it necessarily look like a flower. Of course, we see what this is (a flower macro based on excellent metering), but thanks to your tight square framing, the visual impact goes beyond what we see at first sight. This could be something else than a flower. A red bedcloth on a sunny morning, for example. This is about textures, curves, light, shadow, even movement. Quite abstract, conceptual perhaps, but so captivating to look at.
