Beautiful shot Derek - sharp, great colour. I've not used this lens but it looks to be a good bit of kit.

Boy, it could be any number of places along a very long coastline! Doesn't look familiar to me. Good light and colours and nice composition overall, watch that tilted horizon though!

Beautiful scene, the intense sky is just stunning. The rocks in the foreground make a good base to the picture.
It looks to me to be near Mt Maunganui, near Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty.
Ring any bells for you?

The rocky outcrop in the fore ground leading the the next set of rocks gives a good sense of distance.

Sharp details and the curved pattern of the clouds is unusual.

The blue of the sky is brought out well by the polarizer.

I think Pete is right, somewhere on the Bay of Plenty Coast.

Hello Derek
A shame your not in NZ full time, you show the beauty very well of NZ. The cloud formations are simply superb in this scene with excellent use of the rocks, the curve of the beach, sky and water for the compo. Deep saturated colours are to my taste also. Can't help with the location, who cares anyway, just enjoy the view.
