Spring portrait of a friend.

Mia posed in the garden of our house; the light source was reflected afternoon sunlight off the wall of the house. I used a polarizer when I probably shouldn't have, but the overall effect seems ok.

As always, thoughts and feedback are very much appreciated.

Wonderful detail and I love the soft, cool lighting. Great portrait of Mia, and the colors are wonderful. The background of green leaves is perfect and contrasts well with her dark hair and black and red shirt. I like the hint of blue on her nose and the strands of hair coming in front, as well as the cropping and the POV. Great shot, TFS!

Hello Rew!
I am not the right photographer to critique a portrait. But as an amateur , I can say the compostion is great, I like her pose and candid expression. The wind in her hair is working well.
Difficult these days, I know it is ''In'' to wear many layers of shirts or camisoles, but IMVHO ( In my very humble opinion LOL!) , I would have colored the white bra band in black , or cloned it simply.

Cheers!
and enjoy your summer down there!
Robert :)

Hi Rew,
Beautiful portrait of a beautiful model! Her nice expression, the wind in her hair makes the whole very natural on a green background, congratulations!

It is a very good photograph Rew! Although you have lost some of the highlights, it is very detailed and the windblown hair across her face makes it interesting.

Andre'

A nice, natural portrait, with hair blowing over the face, and an inquisitive look in her eyes.
Cheers

Hi Rew,

Lovely model wonderfully captured by you. I think you controlled the light here so well. The exposure is simply great. Regarding the background, I like the blurring of it. Just one thing, IMHO cropping the lower portion might be better to remove the distracting metal frame. What do you think? TFS.

Konie

Hello Rew, I am not so sure about the lighting because I think the image turned out flat, but I like the pose and your choice of BG. The DOF is ok so I guess it may be the lack of shadows that seem to make the colors a bit flat for my taste, IMO. :) Overall though, I give it a thumbs up! :)

Howdee mate

I think your polarizer worked for you. The shadows are doing it for me for sure.
Face expresion is priceless. Well done. Nice and sharp and the comp it perfect.

lovely portrait, good eye contact with the photographer, I like the composition very much;

Hi Rew
A good capture with very nice impact, I think 3 things could have improved the pic. If there was no black chair to create a horisontal and vertical line on the arm and back, secondly if the bra strap was not sticking out (it distracts from the eyes) and lastly, the pic has a bit of a blueish tint. Being extremely critical of this one, I still think this pic is very good and natural... Well done

Wow Rew .. you are for sure an authority in this field. A wonderfull phot of a ditto model. She looks very nice! Big compliment and your camera settings have been written down by me! Respect and salute

Excellent study of lovely young woman. Nicely blurred background brings face beautifully in focus.

Hi rew, nice portrait. Liked the soft skin tone and composition. :) Vandana

Hi Rew...

Excellent model... she is a bit different from the rest of your "pro" one... :P As Robert said to clone out her bra, I agree with that.. other then that, you have capture her beauty, her expression is wonderful, I like the hairs over her face... everything great... umm... I am sure this is only me, but I love to see more contrast, I am sure it will bring up her skin tone.... what do you think?

Thanks for sharing my friend,

Cheers,
Sweety

Hi Rew,
I like the details on this capture, and the dof is just superb. The pose is excellent and your model seems relaxed with her head turned.
The skin tones are at a good level. The only thing that I would do is to have the subject moved more in the center and show a bit more of those beautiful hair at the back. But that is just me. Excellent capture! David

Hi Rew
Great portrait of Mia. Good eye contact. I would think that she will like this photograph. Well done. Mike

Hi Rew.

I enjoy each of the portraits you took from Mia. Yet, this one is the one which I like most. I can't exactly tell you why. Maybe because of her natural pose, and the texture of her skin. Everything seems to be perfect! Then her lips, that contrast with the background, is a wonderful bonus!

Confratulations.
Luci

mmm beautiful girl and photo. I am sure you Rew enjoy life with full spoon.
Have a nice day,
