Ok. I've delved into reality, it's time for a return to my preferred subject matter.

A few weeks before my trip to the Philippines, I caught up with Bianca for an outdoor shoot. (If anyone cares to recall, it was a few hours after I took this shot, and same location!

This was nothing sophisticated. No reflectors, no flash, just kit lenses and winter sunlight (if this was higher resolution you'd see her goosebumps!)

My aim here was to experiment with the rim-light effect of the sun. No crop or PP besides contrast +5, resize and sharpen. Fortunately for me, Bianca can make any photograph look ok.

hello Rew
thanks for sharing this another wonderful portrait. i this has reminded me your note on eye contact. fine clarity and wonderful use of natural light. modle is no doubt a beauty.
good pov and the pose.

regards
Manuj Mehta

Hi Rew - I like the location, the clothes, her hair, the look - and, of course, Bianca is a beautiful girl. I think you've done well playing with the light and this shows that you don't need to have the best of lenses to take good quality images.

Slight reservations about the crop, especially the empty space above her head - I'd prefer it closer and her head less central. Done a rough and ready workshop with a different crop and a b/w conversion - but I think that's down to my personal preference for that style rather than as suggested improvements.

Oh, Mrs Arab said something about "not sure about her boobies" but personally I see nothing wrong there.

Bellisima modelo, mucha luz y buen motivo de fondo...

Hi Rew,
beautifull imge, very nice model and good pose,
I like her eyes very much, excellent work..

Like this shot
beautiful model
good back light
nice exposure on face
comp is fine, poss little crop off top

Hi Rew
I agree with Kilted-Arab and think that the uper and lower parts of the photo are a waste of space. Bianca's face (and boobies)are gorgeous and must cover more of the presentation.
greetings
tsilla

Hi Rew.
This is a very good and professional portrait. I really like the light in her hair. Very nice pose from your model. Good focus and nice b/g.

Hi Rew, Thanks for posting another good portrait of this lovely lady, one of my favorites. The setting and the black dress go swell together. The pose is swell. TFS. Murray.

This is what I have been waiting for...and it did not disappoint. Two things I like, Bianca and graveyards. :)

Winter sunlight? New Zealand? In june? Fascinating.

Anyway, the light is good, you just used the sunlight and you made it work. The pose is excellent, something I need to work on myself is learning how to pose people.

Excellent shot Rew, keep em' coming!

I really like the lighting! Although I like Kilted's tighter framing I prefer this. Her pose and the dress are very beautiful. I think the space above her head give us more of an idea of her surroundings, a nice mood. TFS and have a happy day!

Nice to see you're back to your specialty, and nice to see Bianca again. I think that model, setting and light are excellent and the portrait is certainly very good, but I find that you could have combined these elements even better. To put it in different way, the visual impact of this image is not as high as it could be and you took even better portraits of Bianca in the past. I agree with the others that the crop should have been tighter but I have the feeling that the light is the main problem here. The highlights in the hair are nice, but the face of the model and most of the picture in fact don't receive much light and consequently do not stand out enough. That's just a feeling and I do not have the experience to back this up. I wonder if a reflector would have made the difference between very good and outstanding.

Hello Rew. Bianca looks ok indeed in any photograph. The natural light works wonder with the glow on her left side. To me, that makes a lot of different even under the winter light. Nice framing without cropping. Something that I have a lot to learn. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

Very well done. Same observation, cropping out the extra portions. :)
Maybe, it's just my preference, too.

Quality-wise of the image is superb!

Very OK, for me, Rew.!
Bianca looks fantastic in this streetpose.
Think her dress is made for Ballroom Dancing ?
Really lovely she looks here.

Hi Rew,
Good job with the light---and lens for that matter, but then it's all about the lighting anyway for the most part--and the natural look here.
Very natural looing flesh tones and shadows. Perhaps just a tad more brightness, especially around that lovely face and eyes, but overall very nicely done.
TFS,
Wilt

Very good management under high key and low key light mate. Excellent detail, pose, and composition.

I'm considering taking a portraiture workshop this month in the will of God with lots of pretty Pinay models conducting by a well known and award winning artist/photographer. I hope it will gonna materialize and waiting for your professional critiques/comments :-)

Cheers Rew
Dennis

Ahhhhh, I was enjoying your travel stuff, but this is a pleasure to "come back to" - she does brighten up a picture. I checked out the WS and the one defeats your purpose of the rim light which in my humble opinion you captured well. The soft natural lighting looks very becoming. Great skin tones.
Minor point: the lettering behind her elbow is distracting.

Hi Rew,
This is a beautiful portrait with a very good rendering of shadows and light! I like the felted atmosphere and intimacy of the scene! As others said, I would crop slightly the top.
This model has all that it is necessary to awake deaths, here! LOL!
Bravo! Annie

Yes, Bianca does make this photograph look more than ok!! As Chu Fer says: "Bellisima modelo." Attractive lady Rew.
Well composed image, I don't mind her so centralised. I like the lighting too,

Hi Rew

A very attractive model with good shadow detail. Perhaps a slight crop at the top to remove that highlight? I may try a ws. Superb sharpness & dof. Tfs!

A classic pose and a very good portrait shot. The use of outdoor light is superb, especially through her hair which then contrasts well with dark clothes and background.
Thanks for sharing
Mark

Hello, Rew!

One more great shot!! Light and colors are nice, the photo has good focus and the model has a beautiful face! In my opinion, a very good composition! Also, I agree with you: "Bianca can make any photograph look ok.". Congratulations, friend, and thanks for sharing!!!

Hi Rew,
wonderful use of the day light. Black dress is worth detailing the image.

Love from Pakistan

Hi Rew, I spent a couple of days looking at XII and XIII and then you sling XIV into the mix. You find some very attractive young ladies to pose for you and Bianca is no exception. I decided on XII because I liked the pose more, and the use of the natural light. I offer a workshop in an attempt to introduce a little more light on that lovely face. Well done to both of you,
Dave

I like this one also. Beautiful. She is great. Sothy

Hi Rew,
For me, Bianca is a sophisticated model. She is photogenic. Here, she has a good pose. Love the lighting and the location where you shoot Bianca.
My only suggestion is to crop off top and bottom otherwise this portrait is excellent.

GRACE
