Still at the cemetery. Experimenting more with composition, location, framing elements and light ... and trying very hard to hold the lens steady with a shutter speed less than half what it should've been for a clean shot.

This time - getting halfway under a tree. No idea if it works, feedback would be helpful!

The overall outcome is very pleasant.

Ciao, Antonella

surrounded with natural frame this lady is a real beauty
you have captured a wonderful smile and a lovely face.
the eye contact is the main impression of this composition. the defused foreground leads to the outstanding portrait. her expressions are full of love. wonderful contrast and beautiful expouser.
thanks for sharing rew

Beautiful portrait Rew
She looks a little like Drew Barrymore, only with dark hair.
I love how you have framed Bianca with the soft focus on the leaves and the sharpness of her eye.

Regards
Tracey

Hi Rew, the frame with leaves got my attention immediately. The natural beauty of the model is retained. Great shot.
Rikus

Well composed portrait - nice light. The details don't look as sharp as they really should for this kind of image. As you say the shutter speed is about half of what you need for the lower end of this lens..
Not so sure about the branch across the forehead - maybe leaves as on the right would look a little better too.
Good to experiment, well done..
Cheers
David

hi Rew!!

Hi Shearer,
and trying very hard to hold the lens steady with a shutter speed less than half what it should've been for a clean shot.
Sure it did work as you broke the rule of Focal lenth = shutter speed
you did that 1/60 sec over focal lenth of 125 and that is well steady hand but also help the ISO 400.
No doubt that NewZealand has some some unique enviorment that every thing grows bigger :)
Regards.

Hi Rew,

Looks good to me Rew, I was drawn by the thumbnail the delightful coy look through the greenery. This past few weeks it has been mountains or waterfalls through anything green, this makes a delightful change, lovely model.

Hi Rew,
You are still fantastic, as usual a gorgeous portrait of Lady with a extremly beautiful natural frame. The smile is so inocent and is providing an immediate attention of the viewrs, you are master at portrait photography, I like the composition which is my week subject. A perfect shot my friend.

Love from Pakistan

Hi Rew. Nice portrait of good looking model in green surrounding. Good eye contact. TFS - Regards - Adil.

Love the quality of her eyes - the slower shutter may have added a touch of softness that is VERY pleasing. She can really light up an image.

Miner thing - I'm going to nit-pick about the branch crossing her head in the upper left corner. Maybe if it were a little higher.

Dan

Hi Rew, You really do a good job of portraits of these fine looking ladies you seems to attract and have at your fingertips. I like this it is very much, the girl next door kind of look about it. TFS. Murray.
PS Does she realise she is like that UK Chef on the TV program who loves chocolate and all things sticky?

Another beautiful portrait, the leaves and tree working well as a natural border. I especially like the catchlights in the models eyes - giving a great sense of mischief in the smile.
Thanks for sharing
Mark

Hello Rew,

oh, that sweet smile and the shining eyes together make Bianca more gorgeous than ever, Rew!

her appearance from behind leaves at a cemetery gives a mysterious presence of beautiful Bianca. you perfectly chose a venue for your so-called but so great experiment.

i am afraid her stare and smile will make me an insomniac! :)

very well done, mate.

looks fine composition to me, the framing looks good.though revealing more of its forehead and reducing the grains might look better (IMHO only ), nevertheless the suject was well captured, its eyes directed to the camera and facial expressions are well managed, ganda pa rin pare!

Hi Rew,
Soory my friend, I didn't visit your portfolio a lot last weeks, but be sure I'm watching your pictures closely :-)
Like this portrait; excellent natural pose, you must have the skill to give your model to feel comfortable. Great light and natural tones. The eye look is priceless. Great sharpness as always. Again a portrait to love ;-)
Hans

Hi Rew,

I like how you have used the tree foliage as a frame. It works really well.

Her expression is very inviting. Almost like come and join me in the secret garden. Sounds a bit corny I know.

Well done.

Hello Rew! Great light, lovely model with an incredible smile and beautiful eyes, the skin tone you achieved is just fantastic. I'm not sure about the branch there though but maybe it's just me. Very nice work, thanks!

Hello Rew!

This lovely portrait would certainly fit very well for the Natural Frame past Friday theme.

I like the composition ; with a blend of voyeurism and papparazzi style. An exotic smile , model, and mood here. Her natural look ( nothing artificial ) , her pure beauty is well enhanced in a similar environment. And you took a meticulous care in revealing her charms very well by a well chosen POV.
Well done !

Hi Rew

Good color coordination between this green eyed beauty & the surrounding vegetation. A superb portrait, with complimentary diffused light, & excellent dof. Tfs!

This shot has even more character than the others; both the model and the scene. Well done! Amazing how her eyes look hazel here and light brown in the "Graffiti" shots.

Hello Rew. Clever use of the foliage in the frame in exposing the right spots. Wild effect with light catching on different parts of Bianca. Well done and best regards. Jusni

HI Rew
For me the idea of framing a portrait is ok if a bit hackneyed. You have used a log as a frame, I ask myself does it add value to the shot? if you took it away would it be a lesser shot. For me I think the answer no,because I feel its a distraction.
I am curious about your comment about the light.Surely if the shutter speed is half what you would want, then either adjust your aperture or iso or use a flash,or if you have run out of adjustment, abandon the shot.It is very noisy.
Have you 'enhanced' her cleavage? To me it looks unnaturally dark. I think as you have cut her arm off anyway, then it should have been down, then we wouldn't be looking at her armpit.
I like her girl next door look, countered with a great pair of breasts.

Hi dear friend,
her eyes are very well captured by you and your camera.
Great expression and natural framing.
Best wishes,
Ioana

very good framing of the leaves, very effective she looks lovely

Hi Rew,
This is a lovely portrait. The leaves framed up your subject and it adds beauty. Great lighting and colors and your notes is very interesting.

Hi Rew,
It works very well, she has the beauty and the ability to show us that in any situation.
I would have cloned out, or darkened that highlight behind her head, apart from that, a lovely portrait.
Pete.

Hi Rew,
This is a lovely photo.
She looks like "Eve" in the Adam and Eve story in the Bible.
The light looks perfectly great and so the idea of using the plants as a frame.
TFS!

This is lovely Rew... you can almost reach out and touch her hair! Nice skin tones and superb detail around the eyes.... a fine portrait.

Regards Mark :)

Hi rew!

Im not good at critics but this one is really really good, very nice bokeh perfectly blends with the subject, the eye peeping under the branch gives the perfect mood on what shes thinking under her brain at that moment, perfectly timed, Thanks for sharing this one! Have a nice weekend :)
