Rosa 'Iceberg'

It’s been a long time since I posted a flower, and I feel like showing you one of my Iceberg Roses again. I took this photo last November. It is one of my favourite roses, and it grows out the front of my house. Soon it will be time to prune the roses again.

This is the most popular, well-known (and well-grown) of the white floribunda roses. It has glossy mid-green foliage and bears gorgeous white blooms that appear from the pink-tinged buds throughout summer. These cover the whole plant and their quantity and continuity is outstanding.

Many gardeners grow this beauty, and it does require space where it can be grown, lightly pruned, as a tall specimen bush. It is a vigorous grower and has a potential height and spread of 1.2 metre by 80cm.

Position: Full sun is preferred.
Soil: A well-drained, fertile soil is preferred.
Rate of Growth: Vigorous grower.
Flowering Period: Repeat flowering - throughout summer.
Other features: The most popular white floribunda of our time. Pink tinged buds which open to white blooms and glossy, mid-green foliage.
Hardiness: Fully hardy.
Garden Care: No specific garden care is required - That’s MY kinda rose!!

superb macro, white rose and pink bud, great colours. very lovely details of both but i like those pink lines. tfs, Janice

Icebergs were the first we put in our new garden here at Puke. They grow like weeds, they seem to flower continually through summer and autumn.
I like how they start off pink, then turn the whitest of white.
Your pic tells the whole story, well done.
