[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Kitekite Falls (also called Kitakita Falls) is a scenic 3-tiered waterfall near Auckland, New Zealand. The falls drop a total of 40 metres (130 ft). From the lookout on Kitekite track the falls appear even higher because there is white water running over rocks into a small pool from the upper swimming hole, then falling down into a large pool, then falling to a small pool before beginning an almost vertical descent in the final 3-tiers, making the total height closer to 80 metres (260 ft). They are located on the Glen Esk stream near Piha Beach.

Hi, Tim. Looks like you succeeded in getting most of the fall with your POV. Nice composition, sharpness and the ludh green terrain.Nice note. Cheers and TFS.

This is very unlike your usual style - it stands out!! Greens feel slightly washed out, it doesn't have the usual tonal depth of your work.

Hi Tim,
Great shot, nice to see a waterfall photo from you. When I was taking photos of these falls the sun was directly in front of me which overexposed it, so it's great to see one that went well. Such a predominance of greens that frame the waterfall beautifully. Great blur from the slow shutter speed too, I'll have to go back later on in the afternoon as you have done. All out of smileys for the day sorry.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Tim, nice shot of the Kitekite falls, they are best veiwed from this spot. I have a similar photo of these falls in my gallery. I took the photo on a rainy day and your colours are more vibrant. Did you walk to the botom of the falls?

The timing is right for the falls 1/5 sec
For the surounding I expect that you used a Filter?

Hi Tim,

Nice POV, great sharpness and depth. It helped to slow the shutter down so you got that silky water. I find the greens to look a little washed out, too, but it could be my monitor - I need to get something to adjust them soon!

The workshop does it a lot better for me as far as color, but I like this crop more... Still a successful shot!

Have a great day!
Reed

Hi Tim,
Long time no see, sorry.
This is a great fall picture. Excellent shutter speed selection creating a wonderful image of the waterfall.
