[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Our silver eyes are back. We haven't seen much of them for over twelve months.
I spotted one the other day, and visited our local pet store to buy some food.
It is a selection of seeds, nuts and dried fruits set in a vegetable suet.
I have hung it in our weeping cherry tree, which at this time of year is totally nude....can I say that on TL?

Happy Independence to our American Trekkies.

Hi Peter
Very nice moment you've capture here
The bird pose is really amazing, what a penetrating look!
Although the image quality is not superb but you've trid well
Best wishes
Alireza

Hello Pete,

Wonderful eye contact of the bird with the cam. The diagonal branch where the silver eyes is perched, the smooth and attractive bokeh, and the fine focus on the fowl's eyes and plumage are the highlights. You metered and composed this with utmost care. Congratulations and well done.

Peter you certainly get some great shots of the birds visiting your yard!! Hilarious face-on shot this time ... seems like he's staring you down. It could be a little sharper, seems to me, but still a nice capture.
(I think you're safe in saying the word nude ;)

Olá Peter,
That is a great capture. The relief from "silver" is very well done.
Great post, great lighting, sharpaness and POV.
Best wishes,
Raimundo

wow great close up showing the texture of the feathers, colours and details How closer were you fro this one Good Job
warm regards
David

This little fellow is really intense almost trying to stare you out. You were at the maximum focal length, the lens works well with the IS. The cherry tree is starting to bud so it won't be nude for long.

Hi Peter,
You may always write nude on TL and as long as you don't show naked humans in flesh and blood everything else is allowed :-)
Anyway a fine image of the white eye bird. Did you cropped it from a larger format? I do observe some noise, particular in the background. Nonetheless a fine picture, nice natural colours and a fine pose of the little fella!
