[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Karekare is a popular destination for Aucklanders in summer. Despite this, the area has retained much of its natural beauty and isolation, and does not get the high number of visitors recorded by its northern neighbour (Piha), partly because the road is narrow and only recently sealed.

Love it! Great use of the lens at its widest, beautiful foreground definition and great proportions, the wet sand leading up to that distinctive rock and reflection.
Needs a grad filter though for that sky.

Fantastic composition that leads my eyes further into the image. Exceptional detail and exposure as well. You are a master of these ocean landscapes. TFS

Hi Tim,
excellent DoF and composition, the winding stream of foam is great. I may have cropped out the bit of OE sky or added a filter / gradient - nice soft blue / grey tones in the sky and reflection
cheers
Jack

Awsome spot Tim, spent a few nights here in the tent and walking the headland. Nice composition and lead in :)

Dont really understand how u didnt get as much points for this shot as u get for others. This is one I would luv to have been samrt enough to take. Simply great.
Congrats Tim

Hi Tim,
Great clear shot of the ocean bubbles and the reflection on the sand is really attractive.
