My contribution to the "Intense Colour" theme.
This rose has had PP work in Photoshop utilising the Topaz Detail filter. I adjusted the detail, hue and saturation. |

Hi Ralph,
Such a bold and eye-catching shot. The topaz adjust has given it an interesting effect whilst really making it stand out. A pity about the grain however, the flower itself could be a tad sharper too. To be ultra picky, I may have cloned out the stray petal entering the bottom left of the frame. Certainly a good shot for this week’s theme however.
TFS,
Scott.
Hi Ralph - I like the boldness of the colour! I agree with Scott about the stray petal at bottom left but personally I've always liked grainy pics as i guess it reminds me of the old fast films..
Nice effect again with the Topaz... Maybe the pic could be sharper but the centre of the flower looks to be sharp - I guess the DOF is quite narrow at f5.
Cheers
DAvid
Hello Ralph,
Your effect on the rose, by using the topaz, seems to have given a silky texture which I would not have expected and find quite interesting.
A nice dof.
Your blur tool will usually remove the grainy effect if that's what you want.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)
