Well spotted and nicely taken - good shot, showing your imagination well. I'm not sure I'd have even thought of shooting like this. It works well.

The sharpness on the plant is spot-on. Well done!

Interesting textures captured here Dawn.
I like the light as it shines on the seed-head and also picks up some of the grains of sand.
The shadows in the sand add to the depth.
Good composition with the plant slightly off centre.
