[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Title by 11 year Alahna, photo by me. Good title. These guys were running for it. They rode the waves in then ran back around the rocks, picked the moment to leap back in and found another huge wave to take them back to the shore. If you surf you may have heard of Ship Wreck bay "Shippies" in surfer lingo. Great swell this day, fantasitc place for a holiday. So beautiful. We love staying there. I'm not really a surf photographer, but get caught up in the adventure of the sport. This place is great because you can view it from the rocks so you are not too far away..the trick is not to let the kids get too close to the rock (sweeping waves) whilst you take photos. Cheers, Karey

Hi Karey, it is definetely up :) I can tell by the way these guys are geared up.. lovely reflection on wet sand, could have handled a bit more contrast though..

Hi Karey
Good shot, I love the overexposed sky and the reflections of the surfers on the wet sand. At first look it appears black-and-white, but now I'm beginning to see it's just the haze, the strong light and the natural grey of the sand.
Great work, TFS
