Hi Lu
wonderful shot to remember important day
first of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your son
second wonderful bw work and great pov
You ll give me good idea for my next son birthday
ciao
Lucio

Nice desaturation technique, the red stands out well.

Maybe I'd crop a little from the right to make a squarer format and lose the 'nothingness' behind your son's head.

I can understand why this would be your favorite, you have captured the moment very well. He is a doll!! Give him a hug from me :) TFS

It's cool to see here how the artistic influence has saved this shot. :) It could have been 'just another snapshot' but your use of a shallow DOF and your placement of - and emphasis on - the candle gives the photo an offbeat edge that works well in my opinion.

A lovely shot LuDivine,
The shallow DoF and desaturation work well

Lovely birthday shot of your little lad. The desaturation works well, and you timed it well. The act of blowing out the candle is not all that photogenic.
A minor crit...if you had been a little further to the left, his face would be away from the vertical window frame, and the candle would line up better with his face.
Still, one for you to treasure.
Pete.

Hi LuDivine,
You are right. Its a big moment.
Well timed shot with good clarity
