A view from Moturiki Island looking towards Motuotau Island also known as Rabbit Island.

Moturiki Island is attached to the mainland most of the time and only becomes an island at high tide.

.. and were you out there at high tide? :)
I like this .. really nice depth. Good sharpness on the sand and interesting rocks in the foreground, and great placement of the far island - in the low spot of the foreground rocks.
Nice job Jack.

I find your pov interesting great details. Have to be honest I am not sure what it is that makes me like the picture but I do it is just perfectly interesting in my eyes. TFS

I think it's the composition that makes this such a satisfying shot. I wonder if a slight lift in saturation might give it more impact. (Then again, perhaps it's the subdued colours which give it it's character).

Hello Jack,

I like your low pov which gives a lot of power to the sand and the towering rocks, producing a 'marooned' impression.
The dip in the rocks perfectly accommodates the distant trees, adding to the overall feeling of a fine composition.
Like other critiquers, there feels to be something not quite right with the contrast. I have done a w/s, adding a filter which I like and hope you will, too.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Jack,

I like the rich textures photographed here on the beach. A good sharp photo showing the powerful, errosive power of the sea and wind. TFS.

Nice textures in the sand and the really low point of view and framing of the island is great.
