[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken early in the morning at Lake Tikitapu, The Blue Lake 8km outside Rotorua.
The 90 year old Douglas Fir forest is to be felled soon.
There is great consternation and protest in Rotorua against this proposed logging.
The beauty of the lake will be ruined for decades, and also the crystal clear water will be ruined by the soils washed from the bare slopes.
Let us hope common sense will prevail.

Great shot made me laugh. It looks like a beautiful place, unfortunatly beautiful scenery does'nt usually make big corparations money. I hope the protests are succsessful.
