More photos from my Rotorua Holiday

Yes, it is a snap of my 2 granddaughters who holidayed with me at Rotorua last week. Molly and Hannah both turn 10 and 7 respectively next month, and along with their mother, we all had a great time sightseeing in Rotorua.

Here we are at Whare Tupuna, the Ancestral House, 'Tamatekapua' at Ohinemutu Village on Lake Rotorua.

Ohinemutu is the area called 'the birthplace of Rotorua' and well worth visiting.

After reading the first 3 critiques I had better explain about this photo.

The girls did their own posing - it had nothing to do with me!!

Young Hannah is going through a posing stage. EVERY TIME I raised the camera she would put on a pose - and usually with her hand on one hip that was tilted outwards - she's been watching too many NZ Top Model TV shows...

And Molly would just smile at me!!

These little girls are so different, but very good friends. I did have a wonderful time with them...

Hi Janice,
Judging by this shot, I can't wait to see your contribution to Fridays theme :). Perfect composition and the details are razor-sharp. Very photogenic granddaughters you have, you've positioned them nicely within the frame, works well with the design of the building. Impressive post.

TFS,
Scott.

Hello Janice.
Lovely looking 'family'picture.
Little girls are growing fast. TOO fast, right ?
Very nice pose of your granddaughters.
You traned them well to be good looking Models. haha
Cheers Janice.
Jan

Hello Janice,

Well, yes, it may be a snap of your granddaughter but it shows clearly your natural use of good composition. You have placed them perfectly in the frame to fit in with the right angled shapes of the b/g.
The sharp focus an textural details complete a fine shot.

Best wishes,
Bev :-)

Hi Janice..I can see by your NOTES that the girls chose their own pose... LOL..of course they would, Im sure they wouldnt want to be told what to do..and at this age they are wanting to do their own thing...
Beautiful girls Janice, and a nice place to get your photo taken..

Nice sharp image, and great location.. a very interesting place.

Didnt they do well with the poses! Molly has a great smile, and Hannah looks like she likes to include props too :)
They are both beautiful!!
Make the most of them still wanting to be in front of the camera, my 2 either run or pull funny faces (unless I bribe them to pose for me)
Love the Whare in the BG too :)
Regards Tracey

Janice,

What struck me about this photo actually had nothing to do with your granddaughters. My eyes went straight to the painted white dots on the wall. At first I thought it was snow and then I wasn't sure. Very interesting effect.

TFS,
Michael

I love this age! Shelby loved to pose at this age, around 9-11...then all of the sudden **poof**...hand up! This is nice, very good pose, maybe they should model? I like all the red in the photo! Good job!

Excellente composition et belle qualité d'image pour ce double portrait familial. Voilà une photo qui va finir encadrée sur les murs des grands parents, des enfants et de tout le reste de la famille!
Amicalement
JJ
