[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken from a high point between Lake Tikitapu and Lake Tarawera about an hour before sunset.
Mount Tarawera is in the distance just to the right of centre.
In 1886 the mountain erupted, burying the 'Eighth Wonder of the World', the Pink and White Terraces.

hi peter
great panoramic crystal clear shot, good colour and pov,

Hi Peter,
Beautiful seascape with an interesting POV with the tree at the foreground which is leading us into a deep DOF!
Fabulous natural colors and lighting.
Very sharp and well presented in this vertical format.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

A photo out of a travel magazine.

The tree fern in the foreground leads the eye all the way down the lake to the headlands in the distance.

A late afternoon photo I think looking at how the sun is just brushing the trees on the left.

Nice colours and clarity.

Really like this. Simply beautiful and beautifully simple. Composition works so well, the tree in the foreground and the islands in the distance, the gradients of blue in the sky - spectacular.

I'm very worried about all you NZ members this morning. Hoping this will find you healthy and safe. A beautiful scene with great depth and detail. I especially like the lighting and colors. TFS

HI Pete,

Ahhh, I remember this vantage point. :-)

GReat result - your POV and sharpness is effective. THe sun shone for you that day and looks like there was quite a breeze across the lake. THe tree fern adds appeal too. TFS.
