This is great Erwin, nice spotting! I took a similar shot about a year ago, they really stand out with the morning dew on them. You were lucky to have the sun to highlight it, makes all the difference. Well composed and focused too, seems nice and sharp.

The composition is excellent and sharpness is grate, actually i was in SA last year but the time was too short to visit alot of amazing places, here i like to post what was mentioned in the holly quraan about the spider in surat (Al-'Ankabût )=(the spider):{The likeness of those who take Auliyâ' (protectors and helpers) other than Allâh is as the likeness of a spider, who builds (for itself) a house, but verily, the frailest (weakest) of houses is the spider's house; if they but knew.}

Very nice shot, I have been trying for a spider web photo for ages and just can't get the right lighting, patience I guess. The lighting was your friend with this one, well done.
