[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a road that spirals down to a depth of 200 meters to the bottom of this conical open cast gold mine. It is the Martha mine which is at Waihi, a huge hole in the ground that has now reach its final depth. This road is the only access to its depths and all material dug from it has been hualed up this road.

I was down there a few months ago and took several shots of the 'big hole' but nothing really worked - this one works well
