Another experimental shot here, carrying on from yesterdays post...

We have to come up with an "Out of Focus" shot for the photography club that I belong to... see yesterdays post, and here, I have again applied a Radial blur, but still kept a little sharpness in the centre of the flower.

What do you think folks ? love to hear your thoughts.

Many thanks
Dawn.

Hi Dawn,
good PP - the radial blur result looks good in this.
Well done. Best regards, Daniel

Hi Dawn,
Great, at first sight I was changing from glasses, went to the optician, nothing wrong, went back to your image, read the text (stupid me) aha...now I have focused well....hahahaha

I like your experiment, it's like soft focus, a but a bit too blurry though in my opinion, but the heart of the flower is nicely sharp and the presentation in the black frame is superb ;-)
So I'm not sure for myself! Hope it's not too rude for you.
Hans

Very beautiful Dawn, so soft and gentle - the colours are pretty too.
But maybe a bit too much blur for PhotoClub. I don't know - I'm still confused and have no idea what one to bring along. So, don't listen to me!
Janice

The soft focus works beautifully here -- gives a very gentle feeling

Lovely to have you back :D

Dawn,
I am not sure the folks of TL accept experiments like they once did. I happen to like this image. I do understand that it was done with an idea in mind, and can accept it for what it is. I like the beautiful colors and blurred stem coming in from the left. It's not perfect but I feel it was not meant to be...:)
I'd tell you to "chuck" the big black frame but I am afraid you'd "chuck it" at me! I like this shot.
BTW..GREAT Intro pic!
Scott

Full marks for the experimentation!

hi dawn, i love the glow to it, the colors and dof, but to be honest the flower in the back is taking away the edges of the foreground flower, still this has a beautiful feel to it,

thanks, scott

Hello Dawn,
I like how you titled this.. your pp work really worked here... it makes the BG soft while keeping the center clear.. I think I like this one out of the 2 so far...

Tricia

Hi Dawn, good to see you back! And with a very creative work. Good idea of this shadowed (double) flower. very nice colours. Love the blur.
Well done! Take care, Yan
