the last ,in my little effort on the lights at night ,from napier!!so...this picture has mainly allowed me to play a bit with post..(after my yet again attempt to hold the camera steady enough!)
I have sharpened, and worked with contrast.. then attempted straightening!!!and learnt to add borders. .thank you Janice! fun to play..thanks for looking.. this fountain can be seen along the beachfront , near downtown in Napier.
enjoy yourevening/day...Meagan

Just great Meagan... just yesterday i meet a pretty woman from your country... great people... and back to the shot... just great!!! congratulations... TFS..

hi Meagan,
Wow, excellent color contrast. Sharp enough for a night & handheld shot. congrats. TFS - Andy

Hey Meagan, I thought you were the art of the shakkkkky hand, but now look, all this night photography and WOW, you have a grip of iron!

You have done really well in this one, I like the way you are getting into the mood of the night photo scene, careful it can be addictive, take it from me... and next thing you know, you are up all night, trying to get that perfect shot ;-)

Are you sure its not Purple rain?
The water looks like coloured rods, very cleverly shown Meagan.
And what a gaudy border - I'm ashamed to think I told you how to do it!!
Just kidding,
Janice

hi Megean , nicely caught without a tripod.. but just imagine how good it would be with one ?..question is do you have one ?..they are a nuisance.. but you will diffently see the difference if you use one, with a cable release.

thanks for sharing.
Cheers Dawn

Excellent night shot Meagan, even with a tripod I fail everytime. Good colour, lovely light and the experiment in framing a success. TFS,
David

Hi Meagan,

Excellent shot, great colours, details and sharpness... No tripod for this? amazing......you got really steady hand my friend... very nice! Thanks for sharing

Cheers,
Sweety

Hi Meagan,
Great night shot!
The colours are well contrasted. The water actually looks like solid spikes.
I think that this image could work well if it was cropped to only seeing half of the fountain, asymetrically rather than symetrically? I think this would have the affect of making the viewer really think hard as to what they are seeing, creating intrique.
The image looks sharp to me for a hand held shot but how about investing in a tripod and remote, heaps of fun! :~)
Thanks,
b.
