Re-post: Read all the critiques concerning the original image commenting the lack of contrast and complaining about the dullness. Well used the same RAW version, adjusted the contrast and used a slightly different crop.

Shoot! (again :-)

I'm happy with all critiques as long as they are honest!

My contribution to the Friday theme; "from a dog's eye view".

Here two gannets (Bep and Toos) seen from a very low POV. Put my camera on the ground and took some shots of these fellahs with this picture as result. The position of the sun was far from ideal, but I gave it a try anyway.

I agree on the comments that this picture suffers of a lack of contrast and appears a bit hazy and dullness. I will re-post this picture soon. Thanks for all the constructive critiques!

Ik vind het een prachtige foto! Met een heel laag point of view!! Vertel eens, lag je echt in het zand??? :)
Ik geloof niet dat dit het zicht is vanuit de hond gezien, of hij moet in een hele speelse houding liggen in het zand, net als jij..:)

Prachtige heldere kleuren een heel verschil met het orgineel. Dus goed gedaan!!!

Ah that looks better - more up to the usual "Hans" standards! Beautiful clarity and sharpness on this one.
Are these birds quite agressive? Did they try to come after you if you got too close?

Love it Hans!! What Great looking birds! I've never seen one of these. They remind me of a cross between the pelican and the seagull...yet their eyes have similarities of the puffin with the black outlines. You captured these beauties very well!! The thumbnail caught my eye immediately. Great angle!

Dit is nog eens iets anders dan een Haarlems gezicht. Welkom terug in Nederland en fijn dat je zo'n mooie, grappige foto meebrengt. Het moet wel een chiwawa geweest zijn om dit POV te krijgen. Goed gelukt!

Whaa grappig! Wat hadden ze je allemaal te vertellen? haha. Prachtige horizon van Gannets? de Ned. naam niet, maargoed. En ze steken mooi af tegen de helder blauwe lucht. Heel goed gedaan! En als je Bep en Toos ooit nog eens ziet: doe ze de groeten van mij en zeg ze maar dat ze heel fotogeniek zijn ;-)

Extremely creative shot, I don't know how you managed to get so close to these gannets but the end result was a terrific shot.

F/8 and 1/3000s? You must have had quite a high ISO setting on this?

Hello Hans,the viewpoint is excellent;the markings on the heads of the gannets is very clear.

Wauw dat is effe dichtbij Hans,prachtig laag perspectief heb je hier,die egaal blauwe lucht maakt de zaak af.

De eerste crocusjes zijn er weer en die klotefiets met dat harde zadel staat al weer voor je klaar in het schuurtje ;]],over een maandje ofzo toch?
