[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I bought this yellow clivia plant last year from an Auckland garden nursery last year. The yellow varieties have become increasingly popular in New Zealand over recent years, more commonly available and fortunately more affordable too. I think they look particularly attractive planted under the shade of trees alongside orange and red flowering varieties. They also do well planted in tubs under semi-shade and tolerate periods of dryness.

Thanks for viewing.

Hi Martyn,
Excellent shot, matched by a great presentation. I'll never get sick of the way you make these shots 'burst' out of the frame. Impressive clarity and POV, the tones looks good. There is some slight OE on one of the leaves but that's just me being picky.

TFS,
Scott.

Hello Martyn,
A very nice presentation of this yellow clivia with adequate lighting and accurate focusing.
Details can be noticed excellently with fabulous shades of pastel yellow.
An artistic presentation in this elegant frame.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hello Martyn,
I am so glad you provided identification to this flower as I was about to guess it's daylilies. Yellow in black make such a good color combo. Sharp, well exposed and composed. A pleasure to view. best regards...

Hello Martyn.
Yes Clivia's are nice plants who can stand over a long time without water.
We have one, more than 30 years old, years inside, on a dark place, half a year without water. Brought it dawnstairs, into some sunlight (with fresh potground) and it started to bloom again.
Pity, two months ago, nice weather, we put it outside. Nights where too cold, now the leaves are dieing, sniff.
Very good work on this picture. Congrats.
Jan
