[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It is now winter in the southern hemisphere and New Zealand has already had snow fall. The ski fields are open on both the North and South Islands.

I took this photo during last summer when visiting the Manawatu Rose gardens. It brings back memories of the long, hot, and sunny summer months.

Beautifully sharp detail on the petals. I'm trying to decide how I feel about the composition - whether it's nicely balanced, or a little random and uncontrolled? I have to say I'm quite enjoying the way the eye follows from one flower to the next, and back again, so I'd guess it works quite well!

Hi Martyn,
Very nice shot, although there is slight graininess in places. Admittedly it's very minimal, but still noticeable. What was the ISO? Anyway, great colours, the presentation is nice and subtle too. Well done.
