~ Floral Warmth ~

I have several of these plants currently in flower. However, I took this photo in the Manawatu public gardens today where they are planted in large quantity created an impressive orange carpet under the shade of the large established trees.

Clivia miniata (commonly known as Kaffir lily or Bush lily) is a species of clivia, from South Africa. It grows to a height of about 45cm in the shade of trees and shrubs, and flowers are red, orange or yellow, with a faint, but very sweet perfume.

For more information please check out the website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clivia_miniata.

Thanks for viewing.
