The amazing NewZealand again! This shot was taken back in 2002 while I was going to Cape Reinga (northermost point of NZ)
These are the Te Paki sand dunes by the Tasman Sea near to 90 Mile Beach!! Can you imagine that this part of the North Island once were a forest with huge Kauri trees??
Now it's a remote place with huge sand dunes all around!
I had to be quick to capture the beauty of the sand waves before all the people from the tour-bus got it all ruined! :)))

PP: I've tried to do only the necessary PP (contrast, resize, sharpen, frame) without touching the pic too much! :)

Very nice colours ..blue contrasting the golden sand. Even the angle is pretty good. IMO Would have been super if you had a context! Still a very pretty shot as it stands. :)

Amazing shot Tom, that sky is an impressive shade of blue. The lines in the sand also add a nice to a postcard like shot. well done.

Hi Tom - Lovely shot... very well composed the dark blue sky and the expanse of wavy sands. If it were not for the sea peeping in from the corner it could have been a picture of any great desert.

hi Tom,
excellent photo..very nicecolours..well done

Onur

Szia ToM!!
The dunes seem to be left there untouched for centuries, though from your note I know that is not like that... But the patterns are beautifully designed on the sand and the intense blue of the sky provides the necessary contrast to balance composition. Great shot.

Ana

Nice shot, Tom! You got the details of the sand dune very well, and that sky is quite impressive. Great job!

Quite different from your action shots, ToM but I like this one too. You are showing a great versatility which is great. The colours are beautiful - all in gold & deep blue and I like your POV that shows the size of the dune. Well done!

Wow Tom...this is amazing!the gradation of the colour tones, the way you composed it with the sand waves showing in the foreground...really brilliant!

Oh is it New Zeland! I think you was in Arabia, and thought you was in NZ!! Just kidding!
Amazing place!

Nicely captured Tom, the perspective created by the ripples in the sand and the contrast between sand and sky - awesome.

Amazing photo Tom! I really like this one. The colors are great, the perspective, the incredible landscape (I love dunes!) and lucky you captured it hehe

Big, you were faster of the
that them, or else it would not get to capture
this beautiful picture, a beautiful combination
of this yellow with this blue sky. It is a feather
that before there was a great forest, and today only
she remains that, I am afraid to happen with the Amazonian
Congratulations for the picture, was wonderful.

Amazing view Tom,
Colours are fantastic, the angle of shot is prefect and you got great details.
Those dunes seem to go as far as the eye can see...
Good Job!

take care, Stef

Hi ToM,
if I hadn't read your notes, I would have thought it was the Sahara desert!
Very well captured. The blue sky in contrast with the yellow sand. I also like the 'waves' which the sand make.
Well done!!

Great photo! I always like the blue-yellow contrast, it reminds me of the sea (I live by the sea). This one is also great, although there is no sea involved :)
Sharpness and colors are great, you have captured it in a excellent way. But the most interesting is the usage of diagonal lines to emphasize the composition, ver clever detail.
Great job done, TFS!
Regards

I was thinking you were lucky that there were no footprints on it ToM, and then I read your note! Good sunny day for you, it was grey when I was up there last year. The colours look superb. Well done.

Tom, it's brilliant!! The contrast between the sand and the sky is so perfect! makes me wish I was there with a sandboard (did you try sandboarding there yourself?)

SUPER!!

Hi Tom,

Hi ToM,
let's go sandboarding!!! Next time, I'll try it and somebody else can take the pictures. I love the place, it is beautiful.
See U,
Sabrina

Hi!
Wow! Amazing colour here! The sky looks unreal. I unfortunately didn't make it as far as 90 mile beach..the farthest in the Northland I went was to Paihia and Waitangi...and I was there on Waitangi day!

Thanks for sharing this lovely photo.

Cheers,
Jessica

Very beautiful scenery indeed! I bet you were the youngest/fittest person on that bus!
I'll have to get my son to take a peak at your skateboarding pics.
Have a great X-mas & New Year.
Thanks for your visit
