[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just up from Cape Maria Van Diemen is the most northern point of
New Zealand - Cape Reinga (Te Rerenga Wairua in Māori, which
means leaping-off place of spirits.). Probably one of the most unusual lighthouses I have seen in my time but one of my favourites as it sits proudly while looking out to the Tasman. Cape Reinga is generally considered the separation marker between the Tasman Sea to the
west and the Pacific Ocean to the east.

Lovely lighthouse in a great light !!! The colours are awesome and so is the bg. compliments ! i also like the WS.

Hi Jim,
Tough choice between this shot and the WS post, but I like this one alot. Another very warm looking photo, beautifully lit up. The guy taking photos on the left puts the lighthouse into perspective so I'm glad you decided to leave him in the frame. Wonderful shot all round.

I taken, and seen lots of pix of the lighthouse, this is one of the most picturesque.

Another beauty!
The light, again, is stunning.
The spotlighted lighthouse against the misty horizon, all so perfectly composed, is outstanding.
Although I am raving about this shot, I think the w/s example is even better! I love that long, guiding pathway which gives a sense of isolation and romantic drama to the scene. Again, the light is wonderful.
(sorry, can't give 4 points!)

Hi Jim,
Two vibrant images, you really captured the light in both scenes. Though the person does give scale & adds to the scene,
myself, in this case, would have liked to view just the beauty of the lighthouse & it's settings .As I mentioned two great compositions & vibrant captures.Well done.
