[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After believing that Matai Bay was this beautiful double bay near the tip of the Karikari Peninsula, I found out that the 2 halves actually have different names, Waikato and Matai. They are separated by Matai Point, here in the middle of the picture, with Waikato on the left and Matai on the right. Thank you LINZ Land Information New Zealand!
My previous postings about Matai Bay were actually of Waikato Bay... Sorry!

This view was taken from Takini Point, at the very entrance of the "double bay", reachable only by walking the entire length of Waikato Bay then though bush up to the point. Hi Dawn, that's the "secret place"...

Now to all the specialists out there, can anyone tell me how to enhance the sky part, making the clouds stand out more, just like what I can see on many of your postings? Any help will be much apreciated.

Philippe

Hi Philippe.... Thanks for your post of Matai and Waikato Bays..surely beautiful places, not a soul in sight by the looks.

Now depending what type of camera you are using Philippe.. if its a DSLR.. you would be best to use a circular polarizer for landscape work.. which makes the skys a deep blue, and punches out the clouds, and takes away any glare...If your not using a DSLR camera.. you will have to change this sort of thing in a software program.. but they never look the same as using filters on the camera. So let me know which camera you have..?

The photo itself is maybe just a bit to centred.. maybe trying to get Matai Point slightly more to one side.. and not have the horizon too centred in the photo as well.

But thank you for showing us kiwis some of our beautiful country.. and to the world..

Kind regards
Dawn.
