All View Lodge

When we were up in Paihia in the Bay of Islands last July we went looking for a house that had been built on Sullivans Beach belonging to some friends of our friends.

And we found it. It is the blue house on the top of the cliff on the left. Not bad, eh?

This photo was taken the day after the big storm we had up there. I notice the Tea Tree / Manuka growing on the cliff looks rather battered – they would have copped the full brunt of the wind and rain and high seas. . .

In the background is the little port of Opua.

This month All View Lodge is opening as a Bed & Breakfast. It advertises superb uninterrupted sea and island views, complimentary kayaks, and the start of coastal walking track.

Yep great view, fine scene, although I think the horizon is slightly tilted (approx 2 degrees CW) Anyway i'isn't really disturbing this nice impression from NZ!

LOvely colour and light here Janice, regardless of the dismal conditions you captured them well. A fancy beach shack, I would be worried about storms being so exposed. Excellent detail through out and well composed,

A nice wee Kiwi bach- its a lovely spot. Not the best of days but the photo is so clear with great colour
