Hi Blondie,
Great shot of the gannet, I would have cropped that annoying guy to create a more attractive image :-)
Excellent diagonal composition.
Stupid to take pictures while the interesting object is behind him :-)

HAHAHA! Why is your hat on Hansie?? Are afraid of the bird?? Very nice shot Anna! Beware of all of Hansie's jealous girlfriends! You will have to work long and hard to compete with the lines of women wanting the GreenBaron! HAHA! Nice work on this! Good comp!
B-)

I like that shirt!! I think I've seen it before. It goes well with the sea and sky...
Good shot of 'Hansie Pansie' Anna. It's a pity that it's not a CANON close to his face. He'd look a lot better if it wasn't a n*k*n...
And looking at his tan, I think he must have gone home a totally different colour from when he arrived. The NZ sky has done wonders for him. I think New Zealand did put on a great show of good weather, food and company for him.
BTW, the gannet looks super flying overhead. Like an angel watching over our Green Baron
Best regards

This is such an unusual shot. It's all "wrong" - Hans is facing away from the negative space in the frame, i.e. he has no 'look room,' and his camera is pointed at the nearest edge of the photo. There's a disproportionate amount of sky above him.
But this, I think, is a fine example of how to break rules with fantastic effect. The shot is great! Despite the composition, or perhaps because of it, attention goes straight to your subject. The negative space obviously draws the eye up to that curious gannet, and is rewarded by the sharp, crisp delivery and the excellent gradient through the sky, but ultimately the shot belongs to the Baron.
Very nice work

Hello Anna, welcome to TrekLens.
I see you and Hans had a great trip through our countryside. We did go to a lot of trouble organising the weather for you ;).
Regarding the C*n*n / N*k*n thing....I have posted a workshop for you.
Hans' twin using a REAL camera.
He tried my lens on Janice's camera one day at Aucklands Western Springs.
I must say, you are both very good ambassadors for NZ. You both have posted some stunning views of our country, thank you.
Pete.
PS, I see you have disabled workshops, so I'll post it as a WS in my latest pic, 'Birdwatchers'
OHHH just love this one Anna...the composition is amazing... and so funny!..excellent work!!
hi anna,
the shirt looks familiar.
i agree with rew. a perfect example of rule breaking and making it work.
i hope the birds aim was good?
nice one.
Brian
The hazy far hills in the background are giving this picture all the ingredients of
a masterpiece,superbe timing and composing.
Hans must be a proud man to be part of this.

Hi Anna,
I must say that I think Hans is afraid to take a photo of the gull! He's facing the wrong way! :) The gull has it's eyes on him and the photographer too! Nice to have you join Treklens Anna. Lovely blue in the sky...and it's always nice to see photos of our dear Hansie! Lisa
