[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Photo taken on the Pahi Inlet of the Northern Kaipara Harbour. This poor old clinker boat has seen better days. It is moored to the mangroves and at high tide is nearly fully submerged. This old dinghy is going no where.

PP work: Cropping and resizing and sharpening.

Hi Ralph, I feel the photo is over-sharpened, making all those leaves and mud look wrong. The contrast seems to disappear and there are no definite edges - sorry.
Janice

Hey Ralph

I know Janice has suggested that this is over-sharpened but I'm not so sure - those mangroves often do look slightly grey because of the salt and sand on their leaves and branches. Maybe I'm seeing it through amateur's eyes but it looks ok to me, I like the composition and placement of the boat.

I like the composition of it, and the subdued colours are typical of what you'd expect around the mangroves so they work well. However, I do agree with Janice, it does seem to be just a touch oversharpened...
