[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yesterday, we visited Mangawhai Heads.
We left home in gloriously sunny weather...what would you know....dull, flat and overcast when we got there.
This recently built walkway took my eye.
In the near distance is Taranga Island (The Hen), and in the far distance Marotiri (The Chickens).
Together known as the Hen and Chickens Group, a favourite for scuba divers.

Hi Peter,
Very nice contrasted colours, I really like the composition choice too. Interesting style of walkway, looks like a small scale of the photo I just uploaded. Great greeny colours in the sea and a pleasant blue sky. Looks like a great place to go.

We spent last Easter up there, and I know where you took this photo Pete.
The sky looks nice here, apart from the couple of dust spots showing up. I like the colours.
It's a very popular beach and I bet it will be busy there this weekend.

Nice view - the flat light probably enhances this shot otherwise there'd be strong shadows and intense highlights..

I can see 2 large dust bunnies that could have been cloned out..

Oh, this is an inviting place to pass vacations! Do you know the chance you have to profit of this beautiful beach in april? I would want to be there right now!
Effective composition with the path and its ropes. What is grabbing me is the turquoise colors of sea ! A dream! Bravo! Annie

Hi Peter,

I love the texture and lighting. I like the way the ground looks almost sepia but there is a brilliant eye drawing double line of green.
