| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| I went on a cross country flight up the north of the North Island this morning, flying to Kaipara Flats, Dargaville, Kerikeri and Whangarei before coming back to Ardmore. It was windy and very bumpy, but beautifully sunny =). This was taken roughly overhead the town of Waipu, on the way back from Whangarei. Breamtail Head is the peninsula bit sticking out. Mangawhai Heads are just on the other side (according to my map, I don't know the area well myself). |

Hi Cadi,
Amazing view, very unique too. Excellent for being taken through glass. The sea looks awesome washing up against the coast, such a predominance of greens in the farmlands. It looks like a very untouched and undisturbed piece of New Zealand. Glad you made good use of today's great weather, been waiting for a day like this for ages. Sunny all week too! :).
TFS,
Scott.
A nice view Cadi - certainly was a beaut day for flying, at least on the 28th when I flew into AKL with a great view of the city and Waiheke before landing on 23L..
If I could make some comments though..
1. I know it's not easy shooting through windscreens etc but there are quite a few noticable smudges and smears - only takes a moment to clone them out.
2. Photographically there is too much sky and the horizon splits the frame in half. I think rotating the camera down would make a more interesting scene and greater visual impact to have the horizon about a 1/3 down from the top.
3. Hire a C172/182 and shoot through the open side windows.
Cheers
DAvid
