So there you are: "Dawn on the farm"...in Kaupokanui.
Kaupokanui - never forget this place. . .
Trust you to stop to take photos of posts and rusty wire. . .
I do like your compo Dawn, and how the colourful field / paddock changes colour over the wire. . . Well seen and captured
Good DOF too

hi dawn, nice shot, excellent use of dof here, i always like these types of shots as we can still see whats in the background yet we focus on the foreground, i would say the exact focus point is on the barbwire/backwheel and my eye wants it to be on the front wheels (but thats just me being picky!)
great job with this,

I'm very impressed with this picture. The colors and detail are awesome and a very nice blurred bg. TFS
Hello Dawn.
Ik looks they keep you very tight, right ?
Sure you will not break out, cos of the spiderweb, haha
Good composition. Lets call "Artistic".
Being a nice person today.
Kiao ora, and a good wake up.

Awesome! I've never seen one of these on our barbed wire! We call them "Cone-a-longs" and they are separate. Used to tighten the wire! Nice work! Looks like the spiders have taken over! Looks like you can also use it to TWIST the wire! Nice shot, really cool!
B-)

Hi Dawn,
Excellent presentation and composition of the wire
and fence, great sharpness and excellent POV . good focus and details. colours great too.
my compliments.
Michel
Hi Dawn,
Taking off by yourself is indeed great, then you have time to stop and think about what you see, like this fence and wooden pole.
I probably would have cropped the picture in half, then you still have the colour of the grass but the focus stays on that rusty element (is that to get electricity on the wire?) and spiderweb.

Hi Dawn,
Only 5,5 hours from your home? Great when I'm driving 5,5 hours I'm or in Paris, or 100km away due the traffic :-)
Great experiment, like the DOF here. Not sure about the pole on the left side.I would rather have seen it "complete". Anyway you show the courage to make a special picture and I love it!

Hi Dawn, Very interesting close up set against the strongly coloured b/g. Creative use of DOF. I agree it is nice to go roaming on your own at times.
Cheers, Pat.
