Islands on the Clouds
Here I am, flying south to Wellington last Friday afternoon. I am looking west, and you can see the sun getting lower in the sky.

The little ‘islands’ are really larger patterned clouds that seem to be peaking out through the mass of the heavy covering of clouds over the sea, the Tasman Sea.

I don't think you can actually see any water. It wasn't easy to see what I was shooting at the time...

I am home for only 24 hours and tomorrow I am off to Rotorua for another holiday with some of the family.

Missed this cutie. It looks like a painting. Difficult to scale it at first . But very interesting to explore it with our eyes. Love the soft tones , colors and various textures.
