[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Young fronds are coiled

In nearly all ferns, the young leaves are coiled (circinate) and are commonly referred to as "fiddleheads".
This places the delicate growing cells to the inside where they are protected during the long period of time that it takes fronds to form.

merhaba nana;
güzel bir makro çekim tebrikler selamlar

Hello Nana! This is a very good composition, but you must watch out for those flares when taking these kind of shots. It is unpleasant in the background if it is too many. But, I love the colors you have captured here. The details are great! Thanks for sharing and I hope this helps! :D

Best Regards,

Pierre

Hi Varina,
Very dramatic photo of the fiddlehead. The colouration and composition of the photo give it a dragon-like ethereal feeling to it. I love the details and the dof. If I'm to take the analogy a little further, the background grass/twig could pass for the dragon's arms or wings. I truly enjoyed viewing this photo. Well captured. Cheers, Todd

great composition
I would like to see the effect if you hold a darker cloth or board behind this plant for background purposes
