The sun was shining, the birds were singing... it was just me and my camera.... dont you just love those days...

It was Easter weekend, Southern Taranaki Region... I was driving along this country road, heading towards Kaupokonui ( pronouced Cow-poc-o-nu-ee)..out of the corner of my eye, I saw this scene...between hedges. So I stopped and took this shot... Simple, but I liked it.. hope you do too.

Your comments or critques are always welcome.
Thanks
Dawn.

Hi Dawn,

That is a wonderful capture!! Nice colors and composition. Nice blue sky and contrast green fields. TFS.

Kiran.

Hi Dawn,
I do like it. The different textures and warm colours makes it very inviting, inviting enough to pick some sweetcorn fot the evening BBQ.

Hi Dawn, I do until I realise I have left home with only one battery and I am halfway through a 14km toddle. Very well composed, lovely colour and superb detail. TFS,

Hi Dawn,
A 'sweet' view of this cornfield with nice soft colours, clearly autumn on its way. Regarding the composition I would have croped some more of the foreground to balance the dimentions particular the position of the beautiful fence in this view (IMHO). Anyhow a superb peaceful image.

:) Later...

Excellent. Very good composition, sharpness and details.
Can't wait to see the same around my place. All is kind on brown now. The temperature is just starting to be nice.

Hi Dawn,
This is very 'country'. I see scenes like this all the time but never bother to take a photo of it, thinking it'd be too boring...but will now think differently as this looks really nice and has that country charm to it. Nicely seen and captured Dawn. TFS!

Clean and simple -- like country air! I love the composition, with the gate angling ever so slightly and the bush providing a frame for the corn. Well-seen
TFS (and for your b'day wishes yesterday)
