Hi Martyn,
Wanganui stands at the mouth of the Whanganui River. Certain radicals want the town renamed after the river, but so far, have'nt had much luck.
Anyway...your pic, good lighting, good focus and composition.

A very lovely view down the valley, beautiful countryside very much like Scotland. Well composed with the river leading our eyes nicely through the scene.

Hi Martyn,
Lovely shot of the Whanganui.
I always used to called it the Wanganui too.
Kayaked and rafted down it during the 70's.
Its funny ... we Kiwis call it a mighty river,but I suspect that people who live near the Amazon,The Mississipi,or the Nile must have a bit of a giggle when they hear us.

a very breathaking view of the hills and the stunning colour of the river.. lucky u Martyn :) sabah is hill country too but of coz not as beautiful as ur country.. some part yes..

That's some awesome view.
A great place full of green - would be good to have a walk there, and breathe some fresh air.
