Another photo taken at Mana Bay, stunning views for miles everywhere, so many scenes to take photos of, I ended up taking 150 + shots alone at the Bay.

This Rock Break Water / Pier is over 100 meters long, I walked almost to the end before the waves crashed over it and splashed me and sea spray wet the lens

There is Rock, Black Sand, Wood, Ship Wreck remains and more to feast your eyes and lens on

Nice sweeping composition here Steven, good sharpness and nicely saturated colour..
I wonder if a crop of the sky to a more panoramic format would make a stronger image?

Hi Steven, is this near Patea...I think I went to this beach last year, as I walked out on a thing like this right out into the water..it felt rather scary out near the end!

Good capture, with nice natural colours..and nicely composed.

Cheers
Dawn

Hi Steven,
Wonderful shot, Mana Bay looks like such a nice place to go. I'll have to add it to my list. The interesting patterns in the black sand on the right look very cool, love the composition you've used. An impressive photo.

Thanks alot for sharing,
Scott.

Hi Steven,

Nice lines leading in from the bottom left, the classic composition.
The structure is called a Groyne, they're built to keep the sand out of the channel, a bit of trivia for you.
Dad.

Steve,

Neat shot. Have you looked at the photo with almost half the sky removed? Really adds punch to the groyne and the black sand.

The little bright spots in certain areas of the sand are distracting.

Good composition.

Regards

Dennis

Hi Steven, now I can see the wispy clouds, stunning photo from a low pov and the composition is awesome. TFS
