[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the second photo featuring the Cape Egmont Lighthouse but in this photo Mt Egmont/Taranaki is seen looming in the background.

To get this photo I had to walk about 300 metres back from the lighthouse before the mountain came into view, bear in mind I was in a bull paddock with “friendly” bulls milling around. It was worth the risk I think.

Hi Ralph, An original and very effective view of this mountain with almost a perfect cone-shape, similar to Mt Fuji in Japan. Good cropping and clarity of both the lighthouse and the mountain itself. I spent all my childhood around the sides of this volcano. TFS. Murray.

Very lovely shot Ralph..great composition..Im so glad you fought off the BULLS for this one!

I do like the softness of Mt Taranaki in the BG.. and that red door again.. very striking.. I could imagine this as a painting on a wall..or photograph for that matter.

Terrific shot Ralph, the composition couldn't be better. What a great background! The panoramic crop suits very well, and you've given the foreground enough space so it doesn't cramp the photo. Nice work :).

Composition here is terrific. I really like your placement of lighthouse and mountain. It was worth the walk!

I do think the colour temp could be adjusted, it is a little low in the blue channel ... and I'm reeeeaaally not keen on that frame, to me it's a bit clunky and unflattering. :)
