[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the many Artworks in the little town of Tirau, (previously known as Oxford) central Waikato, NZ.
Back in the 1900's Tirau (in Maori "place of many Cabbage trees") was becoming a ghost town. Recognising that it was a major passing through point for the many tourists travelling along the State Highway, the locals breathed life back into their little township with many corrugated iron artworks, antique shops and craft shops. Now it is a major stopping off point for the previous passers by.
My contribution to this weeks theme. Thanks Janice.

Hello Patricia,

I love how the corrugated texture of the sculpture sets it aside from the b/g.
I had to look long and hard before I reallyunderstood that it was set against the sky. A clever pov and well composed.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

An engaging sculpture! Nicely captured with crisp colours and details ... good job to you AND the artist!

Rew

p.s. isn't it "passers by"?

Hi Pat,
A very creative piece of art you've captured here. Very rural. I've seen attachments for the end of drills that allow you to do work like this at home. Talk about good exposure for a business, nice and colourful too. Well seen.

TFS,
Scott.

It is amazing what a little imagination and some paint can do. This is really cute artwork. TFS
