Stunning view from Castle Point, I like the way the massive cliff framed the beautiful view. This small photo doesn't do justice to the sheer size of this natural landscape. Take a visit and you will be impressed

hmm, always dreamed of visiting new zeeland :p
yes, you are right about the framing, I can only imagine the real view. It would have been great if the view allowed more of the water in the picture. Nice work

HI Steven

Awesome day at Castlepoint. This is a superb POV of the rough seas today out east. Impressive landscape and seas. TFS.

I agree with you, it's hard to get a good sense of scale here, is it a 'massive cliff' or is it just a metre or two high?

Always difficult in shots like this - as sacreligious as it may seem, sometimes sticking a person in the shot, looking out over the water, can give that all-important scale.

Great light, sharpness, detail, colour.

Hi Steven

A good tip that someone told me is in these types of shot you need a person to give it scale .. not always possible I know .. it is still a well exposed and composed shot Steven, you have great DOF and sharpness from front to back

Michael

Hello Steven,
Your talent for perspective is awesome. Is this for the Friday theme? Well captured foreground of rocks against that inviting water and puffy white cloud of the blue sky.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Regards,

Jusni

Nice one Steven,
The rocks frame the seascape very well, good sharp detail in both highlights and shadows.
Stunning sea and sky.
Dad.
