~ Copper Butterfly ~
I saw this small meadow butterfly recently when visiting Castlepoint, North Island.
The Copper butterfly (Lycaena salustius) is a member of the family Lycaenidae which falls within the order Lepidoptera.
PP workshop:
1. Resized original photo and desaturated to use as a BG. Saved photo.
2. Went back to original, resized, colour/contrast adjustment.
3. Freehand copied only the butterfly and layered onto the saved desaturated photo.
4. Applied border and resharpened final image.

Hi Martyn,
Beautiful macro shot of this lovely butterfly. Excellent sharpness and details on the subject. Its colours are beautiful and the desaturated background highlights its vivid tones very well. Great job again, my friend! TFS.
Greetings,
Kristof
Lovely desat work.. Nice colours on the butterfly, and stands out well against the B&W BG..
