The New Zealand wood pigeon (aka Kereru, Kuku, Kukupa)( syn. Hemiphaga novaeseelandiae) is usually a silent bird when sitting on a branch or reaching for ripe berries. It's green plumage and pure white underside is striking and distinctive.

Hi Martyn, that glowing eye sure looks like a ruby.
Rear views of birds give the plumage good detail and texture.
