~ Safe Mooring ~

This is a view across the scenic Pauatahanui Inlet, near Porirua. The harbour is sheltered from the open (Tasman) sea and many boats are safely moored here. The inlet is an estuary covering an estimated 4,500 hectares. It includes the only large coastal wetlands in the lower North Island of New Zealand so is an area of significant conservation importance.

The boats are well placed in the scene and the overall exposure is spot on. I rather like the blue and red covers on the sails.
