737 operated by Air New Zealand on final to Wellington airport landing into a northerly wind.
The approach to Wellington is interesting, as any pilot who has done it a few times will tell you. The main issue is violent crosswinds. The Runway is not very long either - the 767 is the largest aircraft that can be accommodated. Although no 767s fly in any more - so the biggest thing you'll see there is one of these, as well as the A320s. Which limits the international destinations pretty much to Australia and Fiji.
Anyway I put this on here because there aren't many pics of AirNZ aircraft on here, and I'm quite patriotic about our national carrier (-:
Usual PP, just levels and curves and a slight crop. I don't want to make it look like a Disney Cartoon |

Hello Adam,
Great capture, very sharp and detailed, good exposure.
Francis
Nice capture here Adam, even if it does remind me that I'll be flying into Wellington in a couple of weeks. Gaah!
Mind you, NZ pilots are reputed to be among the best, thanks to the challenges of landing at Wellington - and Wellington airport features in a lot of "hairy landing" clips on Youtube!
Great shot.
