[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is my contribution to this Friday's "old Age" theme.

The anchor belongs to an old and weather-beaten ship moored at one of the quays in Wellington harbour. For me this anchor had rustic (pun intented) appeal.

Check out the w/s photo for another view of the anchors.

Thanks for viewing.

Hello Martyn
Loved the details and color tones.
Well seen and nicely captured, good composition and a very decent frame.
A nice fit in Friday's Theme :)

Great detail, the rivet heads, rust and buckled steel plate all give credence to the old age tag. Nice tones in the anchor. Workshop is great also, not sure which I like the most.

Hi Martyn,
Fantastic photo for the theme, good choice with the crop. I had a feeling that you desaturated the boat here, and my suspicions were confirmed when I saw the workshop - They're both great looking images. Nice clarity and details, the lighting looks optimal too.

TFS,
Scott.

Yeah, I like this kind of old rustic stuff too. Love the texture you've managed to show .. both on the anchor and also on the side of the ship. Great shot for the theme
Have a nice weekend

Hi Martyn,

This anchor has had a long and hard life, good details about this, nice colors and composition,
good addition to the theme.

Mario

Nice - I like the composition and the singleminded focus of this shot. The light and shadow work very well together. I can imagine with some darkening and even vignetting this could have an even grittier, more grimy and industrial feeling to it.
