2008 Auckland International Buskers Festival

With my photo friends, Pam, and Dawn, I went to check out the Buskers Festival at Auckland City on Saturday February 02 2008.

We managed to see only 3 of the 14 acts, and had fun photographing the Buskers themselves as well as the audiences watching.

I took many shots of the crowd laughing so much, and also many in deep thought and concentration too.

So I decided I’ll do a series over the next couple of weeks of some of the people I captured that day – the happy and not-so-happy people.

Yesterday I posted this photo of a happy smiling lady –
This is Onlooker Number 1

And these are other photos that I posted earlier:

Here are Chalk and Cheese

Good use of DOF to allow the man to stand apart from the rest of the crowd. I wonder what he would think if he saw his photo online? I hope you asked him first.

Cheers
Elizabeth

What a brilliant face - although to be fair it may be concentration, not glumness. That's certainly quite an intense frown, though, eh!

Again, nicely captured. Well done.

Hello Janice.
Good sharp portrait picture with good dof.
He looks if the judge told him to be jailed for a long time.
haha
Regards from Jan

Janice Hi:
Excellent Daily life, Event composition. The detail of concentration on the mans face is amazing and very well set off by the excellent DOF. Congratulations, very well done.

WOW!
What a capture! And I love the way you have handled the shadowed portion of the face: still very clear and well-detailed
