Another addition to my Street Scenes in Auckland

This is an American busker, called Mama Lou who came to NZ this year to take part in the Auckland International Buskers Festival 2008.

My first photo of Mama Lou in action.

This real specimen of womanhood can pound nails with her fist, bend steel rods with her hands and rip telephone books in half.

The 28-year-old busker, cabaret dancer and circus performer has been in show business for about 10 years and runs a circus school in Seattle.

She picked her assistant from the crowd and made him put on the orange tights. And did he do well. He had to keep cheering her along to the music and her never-ending banter – and he got as many cheers as the lady herself.

Pam, Dawn and I spent the day in Auckland City following the buskers as they performed in different areas of the City.

hello Janice,
I remeber your first photo of this lady and thought it was a lot of fun then and still do with this one.I like their back to back pose and the way her stoodge looks to be considering having a go at telephone directory ripping himself. Very well exposed with good DOF.
